c'est déjà beaucoup plus bandant

Oooowi :ouioui:

Call of duty modern warfare 2

:eeek2:

Les attentats à la bombe -> CSS ?

Le 11 septembre -> FSX ?

Les émeutes au Maghreb -> Pikmin ? :dd:

Le Tsunami -> Simcity ?

:jesors: :byebye:

CoD has been out for a few months now and your dedication to patching and keeping the online component running smoothly is remarkable. How crucial is this constant upkeep in a game like Call of Duty?

For Call of Duty, a franchise with such an engaged fan base that logs more than a million unique players every day, it’s core to our efforts to provide the fans with the absolute best online experience possible. Whether it’s fixing a bug, or tweaking some gameplay component to better suit the players – or even bring new features to the game players are asking for, like Dolly Cam – post-game support is something in which Treyarch is deeply invested.

One must never underestimate the gamers’ desire to rank-up faster. Nuketown was by-far the most-played map at launch. Practically every lobby was Nuketown, which is why we patched in a limit to how many consecutive times a map can be voted. It wasn’t because the map had the best spawns, or the ideal objective layouts – it was because players could go on 150 kill, 10 death killstreak rampages pretty much every game due to how small and open the map is.

You recently announced your DLC pack ‘First Strike’. How important is it to sustain the interest of your player base by offering them new content after launch? What factors inform your design process when coming up with new maps?

It is our goal to entertain the most number of players, for the longest period of time possible. A year or two can be a long time to wait for new content. Downloadable Content packs like First Strike are a nice in-between to keep the fans engaged with fresh new content between release cycles.

everyone at Treyarch worked their asses off to deliver the best game of their lives

What, in your mind, is the biggest problem facing the games industry today, and if you had the power, how would you fix it?

Personally, as a community manager who lives in the media or social media world every day, I think the social culture of video games is moving in a more negative direction as technology and social media continues to grow. Rather than growing with it, the trend seems to be devolving. More and more gamers seem to forget what this industry is all about.

It’s a creative industry – the most creative form of entertainment in existence. Too many developers who try new things are getting burned by “pundits” and angry entitled fans who look to be contrarian, sometimes simply for the sake of being contrarian. The only thing this attitude aims to achieve is stunt that creativity and innovation even further, which is something that no rational gamer looking to be entertained would want to do.

signé le community manager de call of duty 18 chez treyarch (creative industry you said?)

(j'adore les rank up^^)

I'm quite pleased to let you know that Shift2 is quite firmly focused as a sim racer. And not only that I'm feeling quite bullish that we've pushed the genre to the next level.

Jamie was very impressed with the overall Shift2 experience, especially helmet-cam, but thought that more downforce was needed. To him, the real life Sumo Power GT-R felt more planted in in Eau Rouge at Spa in real life than in the game. Jamie also wanted to see more aggressive turn in for the car too.

He also pointed out that we needed to raise up the shift knob in the GT-R's cockpit. It wasn't in quite the right position.

He did think we had nailed the braking power though. He found that he was hitting the brakes around Spa in exactly the right points.

So we made the adjustments and had him try the updated physics again the following month... this time we got a big thumbs up.

Tommy had a huge amount of feedback for us that day. First of all, he thought we needed to rethink our racing headlights in the new night mode. Longer beams would be needed to get around the Nurburgring Nordeschleife at night. He thought that the trees, guardrails and signs were lighting up in a realistic fashion but the tarmac itself was not lighting up enough. You just couldn't see where you were going enough in the dead of night on the very remote tracks.

Secondly he didn't like the shock dampening on the BMW and felt that the set up of the car was way too soft compared to how his real GT2 car. He thought it was pitching and rolling too much, which definitely should not be the case for a high end GT racer.

We later discovered that the shock bumpstops of all the high end race cars in SHIFT2 needed some adjustments. It was Tommy that suggested these changes.

True Crime: Hong Kong

With the extra year of development granted by Activsion, from what we've seen, True Crime is definitely shaping up to be one of the most polished open-world games of the generation. Whether it's the best to play however, remains to be seen.

UFG admits open-world is a difficult genre to inject fresh life into, which is why it's focusing on its core strengths. At the very least it should end up delivering the best sandbox action thrills of 2011... bar a surprise from someone else, of course.

League of Legends

(dota like)

-Aiming for CY Q4 2011 release

-Concept for BF3 has been in the works for years, waiting on proper tech to seamlessly come together

-Frosbite 2.0 is the culmination of this tech, entirely re-written

-Lighting sounds neat, one "probe" contains more lighting information than an entire BFBC2 level.

-Level destruction is going to be "believable" but basically everything is destructible.

-Character animations powered by ANT, what EA Sports uses.

-AI characters and multiplayer characters have different animation sets

-No more "gliding" animations that look off, animation realism is a focus

-Captured their own war audios (bullets, tanks, helicopters, etc) at different distances to ensure realism

-Better audio cues for certain actions, more easily able to listen for threats

-Plan on better, more immediate post release content

-More unlocks than BFBC2

-Dice trying to find a good balance between customization of your character and not having "pink rabbit hat(s)"

-4 classes

-Will talk about squads "later"

-Looking into a theater mode but can't talk about it

-Will have co-op

-There will be a kill-cam but it can be turned off

-BF3's team is almost twice as big as the team for BFBC2

-They want the pacing of the single player mode to be balanced, with highs and lows. Makes the comparison to a song vs a guitar solo.

-Part of the single player mode takes place in Sulaymaniyah - Iraqi Kurdistan.

-"Fuck" will be used often, so M rated for sure

There will be an earthquake in a level. The destruction sounds very impressive. 7 story building collapses, looks very well done

-Significant narrative that goes with the SP mode

-More than one setting, you're not in the middle east for the whole game

-PC version is lead version

-Why 64 players for PC only? No complains from the console crowd.

-No mod tools at release. Maybe none down the line either. Frosbite 2.0 is complex and mods tools would have to be dumbed down, so does Dice really want to put their time to that or would it be better spent elsewhere?

-Original story, not based on Bad Company at all.
