I guess these sentences are full of mistakes ( mistakes is more spontaneous) Might someone correct them ?

I'm not english, it's just that I love english, and I learned it from when I was young from ............ GAMES ! lol , really, I started with games, and that was very hard games in english ... so I had to understand what the game asked me, otherwise I couldn't play it well ...then, little by little, I learned english,

people often ask me if i'm english, no, it's just because I love english, I have english speaking friends ALL OVER the world, that can really help you, believe me !!

Start to speak with English,Americans,Australians,Canadians, etc I mean native english speaking people, so as they correct you when you speak, it's a very good idea :)

edit: I think that Internet and computer things really helped me to learn english ( It's also because it's the only language that I can speak with my cousins in Sweden or Irak :google2: )

Non, il peut utiliser le present perfect ( i've learned ) car on fait un bilan dans le présent, le résultat de maintenant c'est qu'il a appris quelque chose en plus

Par contre, le " for ", c'est parce qu'on dit " Thanks To " et pas " Thanks for " pour dire " grace à "

et enfin 'improve my english' va très bien aussi

Je dirais que ta vision de l'Angleterre est quand même un peu romantique. La société anglaise n'est plus ce qu'elle était vers la fin de l'ère coloniale. J'ai bien peur que l'Anglais moyen et son mode de vie soient aujourd'hui beaucoup moins attrayant.

I'm learning english since college now, and I'm going to use it for my future job : flight attendant...

This year I can enter the "Concours Général". I think I will give it a shot in English (not in Maths ), although I have heard that it is EXTREMELY difficult. For example, at my school they have sent every year, for 4 years now, all the English (bilingual) students they had and not one of them has received even the slightest of rewards!

I'm not really sure about how this competition works, do you have different levels of prizes ? Is there a prize for the best students of the departement, of the region, etc. ? Has anyone else here had a go (in any subjest, not just English)?

Hi,

I did the 'Concour Général' two years ago in maths, and yes there are prizes, but it does not go by departement but by region I think.

3 prizes (first second and third) then 5 others and then another 10 mentions.

It's not that difficult and there is no need to prepare anything really, at least in maths. If you have any questions let me know.

Are you given a result at the end or do they just tell you if you have a prize or not?

There is an pdf file published on the ministry of education website, where they list the 3 first prizes next 5 and finally the 10 mentions. If you are not listed there you will not hear anything from them, if you are listed you are invited to a ceremony in Jully.
