Bonjour

j'ai un Desktop pc dell optiplex qui date de 2004 , dont les performance commence a faire défaut sur windows xp .

j'ai donc essayer de installer ubuntu après avoir lu et entendu plein d'éloge sur ce Système , cependant j'ai un problème mon lecteur cd ne marche pas et ma carte mère ne boot pas a partir d'une clef USB .

1- existe t'il un moyen d'installer un système Linux sur ma machine ?

2- sinon ya moyen de faire une mise a jour du bios sur mon pc (avec le moins de risque possible)?

je vais essayer l'installation via un fichier iso .

edit : j'ai suivi étape par étape l'installation a partir d'unetbootin dans une nouvelle partition apré redémarrage il lance windows xp, et quand j'ouvre poste de travail a la place de l'icône du disque H j'ai l'icône de ubuntu .

tu est sur que avec cet méthode pas besoin de clef usb ?

Oui, une partition indépendante c'est une possibilité....

Cependant au même titre que tu voulais booter sur clef USB, il faut demander de booter sur la bonne partition du disque dur...

p:s : c'est pas dans le bios que ça se joue.
