[Upgrade]Carte mère compatible C2Duo ?

Bonsoir a tous,

J'ai un vieux portable (5ans) avec un proc pentium 4 qui chauffe a mort et qui du coup fait planter la machine de temps en temps. Cependant, il a un écran 17 pouces vachement bien, et je voudrais savoir si sa carte mere serait capable de prendre un processeur plus récent qui chauffe moins, genre un de la serie des "core".

Est ce qu'un fin connaisseur passant par la saura me dire si je peux remplacer mon P4 kipuékichof par un Intel Core ?

Edit : En fait, il faudrait juste savoir si c'est un socket 775 ou pas (les derniers P4 et les Core sont tous deux sur sockets 775, d'apres ce que j'ai compris)

Le socket 775 est un socket pour P4 et C2 pour PC fixe, pour les portables c'est un peu différent...

Donc n'achète pas un C2 socket 775 en pensant pouvoir le rentrer dans ton PC portable, d'autant que ta carte mère dispose d'un socket...

Merci pour vos réponses. Pour changer de systeme de refroidissement, je me pose la question si il existe des systems plus efficaces que celui d'origine : c'est un gros radiateur de cuivre avec de la pate thermique et 2 ventilos au niveau des aillettes. Est ce qu'il existe plus performant et adaptable au portable ?

un mini water cooling, mais ton portable va prendre du poid et ton porte monnaie va en perdre...

Non sérieux je ne pense pas qu'il soit possible de changer quelquechose au niveau proco/refroidissement sur un si vieux portable, à moins que tu soit très bricoleur et près à mettre le nez dedans un moment. Mais en solution prête à monter tu ne trouvera rien...
