Boot à partir d'un DVD externe / Firewire

Bonjour à tous,

je souhaite acheter un ultra portable mais avant, je voudrais savoir si on peut faire une réinstall à partir d'un CD/DVD externe relié au port Firewire ? (j'envisage un Acer Travelmate 382 Tmi).

Avec mon vaio 12" actuel, je ne peux pas le faire (jlédanl :cul:) et j'ai beaucoup de mal à trouver un lecteur CD Sony sur Ebay ou autre. Donc cette fois-ci, je préfèrerais savoir avant. Si qqun peut me le dire, ce serait :D et je lui en serai infiniment reconnaissant devant l'Eternel.

    je souhaite juste pouvoir réinstaller Win XP à partir d'un CD externe relié par le port Firewire

    chui pas un Giiik et je ne sais pas si la réinstallation nécessite de booter à partir du CD.

    En somme est-ce que je peux installer l'OS qui est, je suppose, un XP OEM livré sur CD ?
