Je suis à la recherche d'un lecteur CD virtuel sous Linux, qui monte une ISO en tant que lecteur CD-ROM.

(un truc qui ressemble à Nero ImageDrive sous Windows)

Qui peut m'en conseiller un ? (sous Google je sèche)

ps. au cas où l'info peut servir : j'utilise Mandrake 10.1 Community

il faut que le support du type ISO soit supporté par ton noyau

THE LOOP DEVICE

      One further possible type is a mount via the loop device. For example, the command

        mount /tmp/fdimage /mnt -t msdos -o loop=/dev/loop3,blocksize=1024

      will  set  up  the loop device /dev/loop3 to correspond to the file /tmp/fdimage, and then mount this device on /mnt.  This type of

      mount knows about three options, namely loop, offset and encryption, that are really options to losetup(.  If the mount  requires

      a  passphrase, you will be prompted for one unless you specify a file descriptor to read from instead with the --pass-fd option. If

      no explicit loop device is mentioned (but just an option `-o loop' is given), then mount will try to find some unused  loop  device

      and  use  that.  If  you  are not so unwise as to make /etc/mtab a symbolic link to /proc/mounts then any loop device allocated by

      mount will be freed by umount.  You can also free a loop device by hand, using `losetup -d', see losetup(.

Ouais, plus simplement, en général, il suffit de faire :

mount [Mon image iso] /mnt/cdrom -o loop

Si rien qu'avec cela tu trouves linux génial, j'ai trouvé une future aide pour la propagande Linux alors... lol

Excellent ! Si j'ai bien compris, cela évite de graver un CD pour le lire ?

Ex: on télécharge les ISO de la dernière dsitribution à la mode, et on peut ainsi mettre sa distrib à jour sans être connecté au net et sans graver de cds ?

Oui c'est une emulation de cdrom

C'est comme si t'avais graver ton cdron puis tu l'avais lu sur un lecteur de cd :)

Au passage il faut que l'otpion loopback soit compile dans le noyau
